I was driving today and suddenly lost my fourth gear still works in overdrive but other than that it just over revs every time I hit 4th gear. If anyone has any ideas I'm open to suggestions and please don't use acronyms.

 

Get the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) read at Autozone or other. Report back with DTCs

 

Nothing came back on the diagnostic test so it's a mechanical issue not electrical.
