Default lost 0-60 with mods help please

ok im new on here but i read alot... what i have is 08 fx4 was stock with 96,000 miles.. i put a edge evo, changed plugs, & gotts mod on it and it would run 0-60 in 6.6(best) 6.8s were more common... well i added the sido magnaflow 18" & changed to the edge cs.. now im running 9.6... so you would understand why im asking for help... any ideas would be very gr8... i got a volant cold air that will be here tomorrow... im real lost on what happen...

Sounds like you are finally getting your real times. No way in hell you ran in the mid to upper 6 second range. Not being ugly, it's just not possible to move 6000 lbs that fast with 225-250rwhp.

Yea id say your tuner was giving you a false reading. It takes alot to get down under even 7.5sec. These trucks if im not mistaken are about 9.6 or so from the factory and I have a intake and exhaust and it got me to 9 flat or so. The tuner may get you to the 7.5 or 8 mark but to go less you have to add a supercharger or major engine upgrades

i thought something was strange... well today i added the volant air intake... by the air temps on the edge it did lower alot... now runs around 5degs more than the air temp... i also have the extra air duck... would you believe i ran outa road tring to do the 0-60 time... same road as last night... so now i gess im around high 10s...lol thats crazy... now i do not have a custom tune... is that a must ? im not having any codes.. by the way thanks for all the help

A few things can cause your times to vary. Air temp and humidity. The amount of fuel you are carrying. Quality of fuel to name some.

well good news.. turned the wide open fuel to 1.9 & got 7.7sec with tires breaking lose i gess it needed more fuel... something to put in the notes... thanks for the help guys

^ You should look into custom tunes then. You are probably running lean and the Edge cannot correct for it. Just because you have no CEL doesn't mean it's not lean. We've seen these trucks get to scary high a/f ratios without tripping it. Custom tunes or intake off are your choices.
