Default Looking at installing towing mirrors

So I am thinking of installing towing mirrors and getting rid of stalk mirrors but need some answers before I order. I was wondering if I should just order the power towing mirrors with puddle light or the power towing mirrors with that fold in and have heated mirrors? Is it hard to install power folding option and heated mirrors?

If you already have power mirrors with the heated defrost, then those would be a direct swap out. I'm thinkin the power fold option would require a different control switch. If you have manual mirrors now, upgrading to power may present some issues with wiring and adding a switch.

I just bought a set trailer mirrors for my 04 f150 from tasca. Before I start, I want to make sure I got the instructions correct. I need to cut pin 2 ground and tape it. I need to take pin 8 and move it to pin 9. For the puddle light, I need to run a wire from the door sill (where I splice it to the dome light wire) through the door and connect it to pin 8 in the wiring harness. Can I reuse the pin #2 for the puddle light which I just cut off? Did I get this right? I have read a ton of posts and I haven't seen a clear guide for pre 07s. Thanks!
