To OP. I suggest a good look at pioneer. The mirror link is a great little feature where you can directly control your mobile device directly from your double din. Even thr google maps/navigation you can use. Also yes, thise 4500, 5500, 5600, 8500, etc devixes have addon navigation boxes to make your radio a navigation radio. Ontop of the rest of the features. I live pioneer products. A lot of bang for your buck.
Crutchfield is great at comparing models of all the brands they carry. With check boxes to barrow down the features you must have. They are not always the cheapest but they do offer a lot of free install equipment with your purchase. Plus excellent after sell support...
Keep in mind 2014 models are rolling out now. Like I think thr pioneer 5600 is replacing the 8500. So be careful on the model numbers and check manufacturer websites for current models if at all interested in brand new.

I think that term is. But the idea isnt specific to them. Others probably have a similar or identical feature under a different name. I'm a big pioneer fan so haven't followed other brands. I just bought my truck a couple weeks ago so have been playing catch up on current stuff as im in the market for one.
I definitely have nothing against other brands. But honestly, I seem to notice you get more for your money out of pioneer decks. Ultimately you cant go wrong with any of the dozen or so big brands. Its personal preference on look and feel!

I'm with you on the Pioneer stuff. I've never liked anything else as far as head units. I was pretty let down to see all the iPhone support and nothing for Android. Do you have a link to this adapter? I have a 3300bt, and want to see if it's compatible.

Seems to me that it's only for the Appradios.

The ML100 is for mirror link and the AH200 is Appradio mode. Haven't gotten as far to know whats the difference. But the AH200 is also used for the AppRadio specific receivers.
Personally getting the 5600 or the 8500. I believe 5600 is replacing the 8500 for 2014

No problem, wasn't much work. It can be a lot to try to understand if new to looking at radios. But I did my first install in 2003 in my first car. Done several since so can pick up on it quick.
I will say its awesome now, what everyone is offering to cater smartphones. Once upon a time MP3 cd's were the big hit, and it was like that for awhile! Now its really great how far your money goes. I mean, your phone is a mini computer with internet access (at 25mb/s up and down on 4g), and your double din radio can directly control it and display on your radio screen. Netflix on the road?...
