Default Listen to this possible trade

Hey guys, I got an 05 f150 fx4 super cab with 125k miles on it about 3 months ago, He didn't have the title so he applied for one and all this **** happened and I still dont have it. He has to get a license in North carolina for some reason now. I have been in contact with the buyer the whole time and he brought up he would be willing to trade me my f150 for his 06 f350 lariat, diesel, long bed, With tons of work done to it with the heads, egr delete ect. He has paperwork for all of it and he will write me a 3 month warranty. The truck has 165k miles on it which is a little higher than I wanted. I paid 8500 for the truck 3 months ago which was cheap..it had brand new bfg all terrain tires..and work just done to it. He told me if I add 2k cash, I can have the f350. So in total I would have 10,500 into it. Seems like a deal to me, I don't know how long I would keep it because I don't need a truck that HUGE. Tell me what you guys think
Thanks

165k on a diesel is nothing. $10k for an '06 is unheard of. There has to be a problem with it or he doesnt want to pay $4.50 a gallon for diesel.
If you do the diesel deal ask to take the truck to a Ford dealership or a diesel mechanic and have them check everything out.

You are already having problems with this seller now why give yourself another headache?

I wouldn't call it problems..well not his falut atleast..so he says. at first his grandpa who cosigned for him died so he had to send in his death certificate, then they said he needs a north carolina drivers license because he had a south carolina license because it doesn't expire for another 7 years. So he needs to get a NC..thats what the DMV said. Idk if that made sense haha sorry. its a friday night so if we can make a deal I will do it since its worth probably 16k or more

You need to be aware of what you MIGHT be getting into! Have the truck checked out before agreeing, some of those 6.0s were very problematic; more so the earlier versions, but still a problem. Do some research, have the truck checked out, THEN make a decision.

This whole ordeal sounds "fishy", and most likely it probably doesn't end for you if you take the trade.

He is adding a 3 month warrantee on it. He did that with the f150 I bought from them..it sounded like it had cam phaser problems but it didn't. It was a great truck just like he promised..So I am thinking once he told me he would give me my $ back as soon as a problem occurs(in the 3 months) nothing will be wrong. I trust him after that...
