Just because you smell gas you are going to get rid of it? That makes sense.
Wait until a week day and I am sure some will provide some helpful info. Personally I would check over the evap system or look for a loose spark plug.

"There's a small smell of gas for a few seconds when I start up my truck, what a hunk of crap! I'm getting rid of it and never buying another vehicle made by Ford again!" If you're going to bitch about something that small, I wouldn't buy another vehicle made by anyone again. That's dumb as hell.

having the same thing in the last weeks, i had been trying to find that forever with no luck (evaporator seems fine, injectors look fine, fuel lines look fine, i had retorqued the sparkplugs already). So, i got me now an small bottle of fuel UV dye for $5 and a $35 Fluke UV leak light detector (still waiting for it in the mail) and as soon as i receive that, lets see if it this leak can escape from detection... and no, i wont get rid of my f150 for a leak... i will fix it!
