the light on the dashboard lit up with a wrench
when you accelerate to climb a slope, the truck loses strength , check engine turn on and the wrench light on.
reading the manual says:
Electronic throttle control (if
equipped): Illuminates when the
engine has defaulted to a
’limp-home’ operation. Report the
fault to a dealer at the earliest opportunity
scanner says I have a problem and tps and sensor map.
what do I do? someone been there ? is 2004 fx4

Take it to an automotive parts store and have them read the diagnostic codes that are stored. They do it for free. Then Google the codes to obtain potential failures and repairs to correct the issue(s).

Yep. Get codes read.

Worrying I know, but just be glad it didn't illuminate engine fail safe and cut out completely.
My truck felt similar to what you are describing when I had a leak in my air filter tubing allowing more air into the intake than what the MAF was telling the computer.

Same matter happened to me when I just bought my f 150 04
So, I took a look to the engine, remove the air filter compartment, and I saw that the wires that came from the maf, has been disconnected.
I joined them again and that sign disappeared. I assume someone occasionally disconnected them
