Default Lifting Question -- Does this make sense?

I currently like the rake of my 04 (new body style) 2WD. What I'd like to do is lift both the front and the rear by as close to the same as I can. I'm currently looking at the Eibach Pro-Truck kit as it allows for a 2.75" lift in the front (it says, "up to" 2.75"). Now, I'm curious what to do about the back. I'm thinking of getting either a 2" or 3" block in the rear? I did not see a 2.5" block so it appears I'll either have to add or reduce rake. Also, I am not finding much on 2WD vehicles with 3" lift on the rear shocks. Any suggestions there? A lot of what I see support 1.5" max or very expensive Fox / Icon racing kinds.

4WD rear shocks will work.
Or just find some 4wd Take offs.

The coilovers I have on my 2WD are the same coilovers that would bolt up to a 4WD truck. I just didn't have to lift them as far to raise my truck because they are already giving me an extra 2".

Given a 3" rear lift, are you saying standard 4WD rear shocks will work or should I get 4WD shocks that accommodate a lift?

In further research, I was leaning toward Billstein 5160s for the 4WD. That should work for whatever I want to do to get a 2.5" lift (currently considering AAL + block).

Oem or the like 4wd shocks will work with a 3” block. I had that setup but went down to the oem 2” blocks. Never had any issues.

Various companies make 2.5” blocks. I also had a set of those in for a couple years when I was trying to dial in the right amount of rake.

I have a 2008 2wd so my truck naturally has less rake than an 04, but I’m running 2wd Monroe quickstruts up front with a 1/2” level and an oem 2” block in the rear. I have exactly 2.5” of rake.

Thanks. If OEM shocks will work for most applications, then I'll just roll with the Eibach kit and a 2" block. Seems like the easiest way. And from looking at it, different trucks have various degrees of sag, etc. so trying to dial it in advance may be a fool's errand. If the 2" doesn't work, then go to 3".
