Default Lifted truck questions.

I've had my 2005 Ford f150 5.4 4x4 for about a little more then a year now and I recently lifted it with a rough country 6in lift. I was thinking about regearing to 4.56 to compensate for the lager tires (35x12.50r18) and the added weight of the lift. I just wanted to know if there is a complete differential rebuild kit for my Ls 9.75 rear end and the 8.8 front axle?

I have the gears and carriers, I just need everything else that I would need to rebuild them. I just don't want to buy them piace by piece

Could you post a side shot of that set up?
Also, how do the stock wheels fair with the lift?
Thanks...

They're doing pretty good. I just have to run 1,1/2 inch spacers so it doesn't rub. I'm planning to get some 18×9 or 18×10 rims in about a month or so. Any suggestions on what would look nice? I like the Simi aggressive look*

Default 2012 f150

Hello yall I have a question hopefully gets answered. I have a 2012 F150 2wd and I am trying to buy some coilovers and the ones I was trying to buy they are telling me that they are for a 4wd, but from the looks of it they seemed to have the same fitments. So my question is why can't I put those coilovers that they say are for 4wd on my truck? Is it that much of a difference?

You will have better luck getting answers to your question in the correct year group.. you posted in the 04-08 group.

most gear suppliers will carry various levels of install kits.... if you get a master install kit it should have everything you need.

Here is an example of a kit for the rear:

I think Yukon Gears have a kit for it, or Motive Gear. Been a while since I looked though, could be wrong.
