Ok guys this may be a stupid question. I have a buddy with a 2009 f150 ext cab. He currently has a 6" lift (not sure on brand) and 35's on 20's. He is wanting to take his truck back to stock and so I am buying his tires and wheels. (They will fit my 2008 xlt 4x4 screw).

The question is: Will the lift kit fit my truck as well? He gave me a deal on it that i would not be able to pass up if it would fit but i am an amateur when it comes to lift kits so i was needing some advice.

I know the truck aren't the same body style nor within the same year ranges so I did not think it would fit; however, I figured it was a question worth asking..

 

I think the wheels will fit but the lift kit components may be different due to different locations I may be wrong but most likely won't fit

Won't fit. X-member widths are different I believe. Plus brackets for rack and front diff will be different.

 

I'm also an amateur but I believe it will not fit. Take a look at lift kits for an 04-08 and then for the newer body styles and I think some components will not fit properly.
