its a time consuming install but its fairly easy to do. i would do it in a garage or even the driveway but make sure its ok and youre able to have your truck sitting there for a day or two.
week end project HERE WE COME! lol but is it just a matter of unbolting and bolting back on?

Are you installing it yourself? YOu may get the body lift for $300 but it's gonna cost upwards of $400-900 for the install...

more or less lol

the bed bolts usually have to be torched out because of the thread locker ford uses on them plus they tend ot get a little rust. the cab mounts came out easy for the most part. the instructions tell you to drain the coolant out of your radiator but i have heard you can skip this part. you ahve to extend the steering column, thats pretty easy. the fuel filler neck has to be extended, the bumpers all have to be relocated but the kit includes the brackets to relocate them. the instructions on the 97-03 said the front part of the frame had to be trimmed to fit the bumper back on, i didnt do this. you have to relocation the body ground cables and the cab safety support cables, thats all easy.

for the most part yes its all bolt on, you may run in to prblems though. i would ahve a grinder on hand as well as a torch and a drill with some bits. on mine the front core supports needed to be drilled out wider to fit the new bolt in. just take your time and i would say have a couple buddies help out.

also just in case youre thinking of gap gaurds here the link. i think these are way over priced.

Amazon Amazon

many people make their own gap guards out of rubber or gardening edging from lowes. it serves the same purpose but costs less than half the price.

it can seem a little overwhelming but once you get into it its simple. the part that takes the longest is getting the bed bolts out. once you start getting the bolts out you can start putting the blocks under, this is a reason why you need another person or two. the bed blocks are easier to put on if you you have someone to hold the bed up. i had two people helping. two guys lifted the bed while the other guy put the blocks down. simple.
