Leveling kit,do you need a new A-arm?
I was told by a friend today that a buddy of his put a lift on the front of his Dodge and with in a few months the ball joints were bad. He was told to buy a different A-arm that set the ball joint in a different position to take the strain of due to the extra lift.... Now that is a Dodge, has anyone had to do it for a Ford yet?
People say the leveling kits are fine on the F150's.
A dropdown kit should include a taller spindle to keep the ball joints in thier normal range of motion.
The problem with angling the ball joint differently due to the truck riding at near full droop with an aftermarket a arm, is when you bottom it out, your now maxing out the ball joint in the other direction, only waay to far now and risk snapping them.
