Agreed thier just for looks, but, I wasnt reffering to speedbump "jumping", just getting it out there that ride qaulity will be poor with a 3" spacer. Even going slow over bumps its gonna clunk and top out. If your cool with that, fine, but just something to realize before going 3".

I put a 3inch hellbentsteel leveling kit on my 04 fx4 over a year ago. Ride quality imo actually seemed a little better than stock . I dont off road much at all but im not scared at all to drive over some sh!+ (never completely flexed to the max) but havent noticed any problems and ive put a lot of miles on my truck in the past year driving 3 hours round trip everyday to and from work along with other everyday running around

I have an 04 fx4 as well and put a 2.5" HBS level on mine, rides fine and nothing hits or is at too extreme an angle. When I did my research on it the mechanic I talked to and eventually had put it on for me said the 3" is just too much for the fx4 suspension. 2.5" seems to be the limit. I offroad every week or so, so it's definitely gotten used, and haven't had any problems with suspension parts. I'd say get a 2.5" kit and alignment and call it good.

It's my forum I had the SAME issue except the previous owner put a 2 inch then a separate 1 inch kit on top of it for a total of 3 and look at the pictures at how much tension is on my ball joints, there is before and after removal pictures and you'll be amazed t how the UCA is placed!

Did it work ?
Total Chaos and Camburg are the only after market upper control arms that I know of...and they will run you around 700-800 bucks. My ball joints are at a severe angle like yours and I have the 2.5" leveling kit, I just ordered some total chaos uca's yesterday so hopefully those fix the problem

I ran 3" spacer on my 2013 F150 2wd with 35x12.50x20 tires and never hit other then at full lock. But it did ride like ****. And factory control arms were maxed out. Now I'm lifting my truck back up and undecided on what to do. I wanna do the 3" and add the Camburg arms to fix the factory maxed out ones. But you say they won't work? I've gotta buddy that has same truck as me but he is 4x4 with the 3" spacer on 35x11.50x20 and stock wheels. No problems at all just rides very stiff with stock uppers..PLEASE get back with me ASAP. I'm ready to order some stuff.

Around Texas
I had done the same thing on my truck, I fortunately was able to buy a 6" suspension lift and. installed it, The spacers do wreak havoc on your steering geometry, and does push the upper control arm down, if you can save your pennies and get a suspension lift, if you and some buddies or buddetts can install it all the better. Good luck,
