Default Leveling kit.

Question. I just purchased an 04 f150 FX4 ( Not Heritage) I would like to purchhase the 2 1/2" leveling kit that bolts on the top of tower without strut dissasembly. Will I have to have truck realigned ? will this cause truck to catch more air at highway speeds, and effect controle of vehicle. After changing the oil I believe there is not alot of front end clearance. And the taller stance would look great. I would appeciate your opinions THX !

2.5 inch level is a great stance on these trucks, i have one on my 06 and i haven't noticed the truck catching more air or anything. it just feels taller. Because i have an 06 the 2.5 was a bit too much so i needed to put a 3 inch block in the rear to bring back a slightly ranked stance

Larger tires and a leveling kit are probably one of the best and easiet way's to make these truck's look better.

If you read all the posts one guy tells you that you need an alignment.
I drove mine for a long time before I did one and didn't wreck my tires or anything though.

You don't NEED to do anything. That is up to you. You could not level and put 38 inchers on if you would like. If you want to maybe save some tire wear and ball joint problems, then you might posibly want to allign it after a level kit of any height.
