Default Level with me

I searched, don’t worry this is not another "which leveling kit should I buy" thread. I ordered my HBS 2.5" leveling kit today. I had it shipped to my parents’ house since ill be back in Oklahoma this weekend and we have a full shop and all the tools necessary. My question is about the alignment. I AM getting it aligned at a reputable shop here in Dallas that was recommended by the place I bought my tires from. They said it will cost $64 (cheeper than I thought it would be). But I will still need to drive it back to Dallas from Tulsa (200 miles). Will I ruin my tires/front end driving 200 miles before I get it aligned? Just want to be on the safe side. Any info on how long you guys went before leveling it would be great!

i vote tires very closed to being ruined. not to mention steering issues (would not go on the highway at all before alignment). when i did mine (2.5 level) it was extremely noticable out of alignment and would definatley not want to drive it far, at all like it was. luckily me and my brother did it in his stall at the dealership he works at so all i had to drive it was from there to the alignment rack. i would wait to install it till you get back. just bring the tools back to dallas with you then mail em back home if your dad needs them that bad

step 1. install leveling kit
step 2. drive to NEAREST alignment shop slowly
step 3. winning

Thanks man, I was worried about that. The last thing i want to do is trash my Tarra Grapplers with 8K miles on them. Ill be there Thursday-Monday so if i get it Friday, Ill just get it aligned in Tulsa Friday afternoon once its on. If not, I can just wait til I get home. I also enjoyed your step 3.

yep, always gotta be winning

ya and when i say extremely noticable out of alignment, that meant i coud visually see it, and when you can see it, that means its bad lol. definatly would wait, i wouldnt even take a chance at ruining those tera grapplers.

Oh yeah, winning is a must. Already called the dealership I bought it from. They do alignments. Its about 20 miles from my parents house but they live in the country so I will have to drive a little no matter what. I can get there on backroads. Learned those pretty well in HS although it wont be the same during the day without a cold one. Thanks for the help

I installed the HBS 2.5 on mine and drove it for a couple hundred miles with no problems, couldnt even tell mine was out of alignment.
