Level kit with or without shocks?
That makes a LOT of sense then. The way it lifts the front is by moving up the spring preload, basically in the same way the Rancho's work. I was under the impression the rear lift was somehow done pressurized internally with the 5100's, hence the 0-1" variance, but apparently that's just extra 'travel' distance.
Effectively, going with his current setup and adding the Bilsteins he'd lessening the rake by 2" , but not leveling it?

Also you can factor in when towing or loaded down; the pressure will even things out and you won't be worrying about handling issues, also a slight rake helps aerodynamics (lol).
I was thinking that was the case Gator but makes sense. I just read a thread that kills the Rancho quicklift so I guess its between the HBS spacers and the 5100's. I know there is a huge cost difference here though..... probably end up with the spacers and new struts.

Think I am going with the HBS aluminum blocks at 2.5" and then replace the factory struts all around. This should be under 200 for everything and I will do the labor myself. Should I go with Skyjacker or Rancho struts?
What did they bash about with the Rancho Quicklift? I just ordered my 275/65/20R BF Goodrich A/T KO, and it'll take awhile for them to get in so I am looking at level kits too, i've read pro and cons about all sorts of options...but yet anything con about the Rancho's, not a lot of threads about them really.
