Thats the only code I've got and the truck runs crappy but only sometimes...let's see, changed plugs, VCT solenoids, phasers, fuel filter...I'm leaving something out but can anybody give me ideas. I love my truck but it's been a real pain lately so any help is much appreciated. Thanks guys

 

PO171 system 2 Lean Bank 1 and EVA symbol is flashing to be exact

 

Gas cap or a vacuum leak somewhere. Check for cracked hoses and fittings.

 

Will do man thanks for the advice, I don't know why a vacum leak never came to mind but I'll start checking for that in the morning

 

This happened to me on an older Explorer I had. It was the evaporative canister with a leak (vacuum/emissions). I don't know if these trucks have them or not.
