Default LED's staying on dim

Ok so I've had LED's in my cab for about a year its an 05 xlt. I've always noticed that my dome and map lights stay on dim and the 2 LED lights on my third brake light stay on dim. I have a resistor on the third brake light, I've tried putting a resistor above my map lights but that caused them to stay on. Where do I put the resistor to get them to stay off for good?

There have been a number of posts on this topic. Generally speaking if you use quality LEDs with built-in resistors, specifically for CAN-Bus then you shouldn't have a problem.

I searched the threads prior to posting but didn't quite find the answer I was looking for. I got the brake lights off of eBay, the interior I believe is putco.
