Default leaky oil plug

when i bought the truck last year, i was aware of a slight oil leak. When I did the first oil change I realized it's just coming from the oil plug. I put a little extra torque on the oil plug and it did stop leaking. The next oil change I forgot and tightened up normally... and again noticed the leak over the next few days. then i (carefuly) gave it a little purple face torque and yep, leak stopped again. So, next oil change I will replace whatever type of seal it uses. is it an o-ring that you can replace on the oil plug? or a copper washer? or would the oil plug need to be replaced in entirety- becuase i think i remember seeing the rubber seal inside the plug almost like it's a one piece plug, or I can always cut a leather gasket. I did that once on an old car and never had a leak again. Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks,
john

Just buy a new plug from any auto place. Your talking $5.00. It's cheaper than a stripped oil pan.
