Default Leaf Spring Bushings

OK guys, I have found another set of bushings that need to be replaced. They are the rear leaf spring bushing on the rear mount. Has anyone ever replaced these before? If so, would you recommend a professional do it? Im pretty mechanically inclined, so I can handle some more complex jobs. My leaf springs seem to be in good condition, but also if I decided to replace my leaf springs, could I go with a heaver set of leafsprings? Would it effect the level on my truck if I was to upgrade the springs?

They need to be pressed in/out. If you have a press then its not too hard. A torch comes in handy as well sometimes the old ones get stuck pretty good.

As for heavier leafs may i ask why? It will definitly degrade ride qaulity and could raise the rear depending on what springs you put in.

I was just pondering on the springs. I'll just go with OEM if I decide to replace them. As for replacing the bushings I think I'll let a professional do them. I think it might solve my shudder issue as well in the rear.
