Default Knocking noise

I have an 08 5.4 150k miles. Only had it since last November. I pull my race car on a trailer about every week. Since I've had it I've had this problem but the last couple weeks it seems worse. When i have my trailer on and I am backing up my truck starts knocking, shaking, and tries to die. Never dies tho. I can stop and everything is normal. It has the normal tick at idle but nothing irregular. Any ideas and why it knocks and shakes when I am backing up with the trailer? My driveway isn't that steep. My thought are cam phasers, but it stumps me why it only does it in reverse.

Probably never. Still had the original tires on it when I got it last year!

Just saw the price of oem coils. Almost $700?!?! No way am I going to pay that? I think I'll take my chances with the granatelli's from stage 3.
