I am looking at a King Ranch that's about 200 miles away. I have attached a picture of the seats that don't apppear to be maintained very well. Does anyone know if these will clean up?

 

You have UNTREATED leather seats. They mark and stain much easier than a normal leather seats, but are also much softer and more comfortable. I believe they are actually saddle leather.

Your seats are more like a new leather jacket - if you get them wet, they will spot. If you get body oils on them, they will darken in those areas.

You could try and treat the seats with a leather protectant, but honestly, I wouldn't. That stuff will rub off on everything you wear in the car.

Much like a saddle, the seats will wear in over time, and will start to darken with age and use - enjoy them, they are breaking in as a good leather should, and will only become more comfortable with age.

 

Those seats will never be the same. Saddle leather is great for fancy briefcases and wallets, but doesn't work well for trucks. Go on to a Lariat that has real automotive grade leather. The 2009 King Ranch has finally got it right with the new Chapparal leather.

 

im not saying that these guys are wrong, but a mild leather cleaner and a followup with a few conditioner treatments will work flawless.

im a detailer and my grandfather has an 05 king ranch, and he smokes like a freight train. my process works perfectly everytime I do his truck.

pinnacle vinyl and leather cleaner and the pinnacle leather condition are the product names.

ford sells some good leather cleaner and restorers, i won't be perfect again, but with some work it will be tons better.
