Default trying to get code for my 00 Lariat

So i bought a 00 F150 Scab Lariat 4X4 acouple months ago and had to have the truck put into the shop for engine replacement. Now that i have truck running..I want to get the code for the keyless entry on the driver door. But can't get in contact with recent owner. Can someone tell me how to go about getting this. I read the part where you find the module behind the rear seat. Will it have a special code on it that you give Ford and they tell you the access code for the door or is the access code for the door on the module?? Thanks in advance

The actual code is on the module. Put it in the keypad and it should work. Hell, if you haven't already taken your seat off, just look in the glovebox. I was smart enough to just look around after I got my pickup and found my code in the glovebox. I think I had to push the sides in and let the little drawer come all the way out, though. Still, it's much easier than taking the seat off.

You are in the wrong subforum. I think yours is actually under the dash.

Although he is in the wrong subforum, it seems like the code for mine was supposed to be under the dash too. It was actually in the glovebox.

I was talking about the code on the BSM sticker. Our BSM is behind the rear seat, his is under the dash.

If we are still talking about a keypad code, my sticker was in the GLOVEBOX, as I said before. This is in my 2005 King Ranch.

I think that's the sticker that came in your owners manual. That should definitely be the first place to look, most original owners removed the code from the car, though:

If it's not there, you can look on the BSM (Body Security Module AKA Keyless Entry Module) In the 97-04H it should be under your dash:

In the 04-08, it is behind your rear seat, drivers side, behind the liner panel:

Well mine was on the inside on the side closest to the drivers seat, but like he said...It is probably the sticker that came with the owners manual so there's a good chance yours is not in the same spot.

Hate to link to another forum but I've found this picture tutorial the best for describing how to access the module behind the back seats
