Default Keypad door handles

I have a question my new truck does not have the keypad, my old truck did and now I am spoiled and want that feature back. So my question is can you put in new door handles with the keypad to work for your truck. i know they make an aftermarket keypad but it sticks out to much for my taste I prefer the stock door handles

hey watsup man
I purchased mine off ebay for 18$ and it stuck to the door handle perfectly it came with the 3m sticky tape. ive had it for a year now and the rain snow and everything else, it is still working great, plus u can create your own code! make sure u get one meant for ford vehicles not universal
good luck

love4f150,

Have you tried this keypad when it isn't attached to the door?

I am wondering how far the keypad will work.

I have been thinking about getting one and putting it in the back of my cap or on the back glass, so it can be removed latter with out damaging the paint or trim on the truck.

That's a great idea. If someone can get the answer to that it would be great. Having that somewhere on the truck (in the bed or something) would be awesome if by chance you locked your keys in or something.

i have an XLT which did not come factory with the key pad installed..... so, i bought one on ebay for 20.00 (factory handle with key pad). it installed very easily, the wiring was already installed in the door, and works great.

i found my factory code by removing the rear seat back and finding the sticker on the electronic module there..... then a few months later i actually found the card inside the owners manual !!!

you know ive never tried to see how far they would work, thats an awesome idea i would guess about 5-6ft, it worked after i programed it to the truck by turning the key typing number in etc ect, it worked from like 2 feet away, but i would guess not to far... im waitin to see when the battery runs out what i do. i dont think it will for a very long time lol. well its not a bad idea nor expensive if u want to try it out guys

Where exactly can you pick up these "stick on" keypads? I searched google and ebay and cannot find anything. Anyone have links?
