Sorry to hear about your situation, brother. That's a hit in the wallet that's hard to take. Not including the downtime, frustration, etc. Hope things work out better for you in the long run.

I lock my wallet in my truck but keep my keys with me. Being in construction I wouldn't want to risk my wallet falling out of my pants on a jobsite. Ford should really have made a locking glove compartment or such.

trust me when I tell you, a locking glove box or console isnt going to do much. its just plastic.
now the console vault on the other hand is well worth its price if its well built. if its a tuffy brand product, I supposrt it 100%
I had a tuffy glovebox vault in my jeep wrangler and had some local thugs slash my windows. they rooted around inside the center console and took a cheap phone charger and a 99 cent led flashlight. that was it. anything of value I kept in the glovebox vault. they shoved a screw driver down behind it and bent the crap out of it, but was never able to gain access. the insurance company paid for a new glove box vault and that has followed me from that jeep and is now in my wifes wrangler. BEST INVESTMENT EVER for a soft top jeep.
if there was something like that available for my truck I'd have one in there too.

It's sad some of the things you have to do just to make sure you don't get jacked by idiots.
