Hi Rickyp, I just got my 08 a month ago, since I could not pass up the deal, I picked it up, even though it did not have some goodies I liked on my past F-150's. (gotta get what is on the lot). I missed the keypad and thought I would go for the "add on". I'm not a fan of add on devices, but this one I have to admit works quite well. I first tried to build it into my door handle, but the area below the lever was too small to accomodate, so I stuck it on above. Only thing I am not too sure of is how long it will last, The Battery is sealed inside and not serviceable. As far as programming, it is as easy as factory. They give you a programmed code then you can change it. I posted earlier on puttng a factory version on it (buying the keypad lever), and if I had the wiring in tack, but received no responses. I'll have to check with my old resources at Ford. Hope this helps you out. Have a great Christmas. ...Maybe Santa will give you one for your truck. ($90, out the door)
