the key chime when truck is off and door open is kinda like a safty/idiot proof way of telling you keys are in the igition. the seat belt chime can be turned off by buckling and unbuckling said seat so many times(off hand i cant remeber). you could just buckle the seat belt then sit on the belt and be unsafe

For mine I kust buckle it up once then undo it and it doesn't chime again until either I put it in park or re start it.

This is for the beltminder
You must be sitting in the seat for this procedure. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position. (Do not start the engine.)
Wait until the safety belt warning lamp turns off (approximately 1 minute)NOTE: Step 3 must be completed within 50 seconds after the safety belt warning lamp turns off or the procedure must be repeated.

For the seating position being disabled, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt 9 times, ending with the safety belt unbuckled.
NOTE: After Step 3, the restraint system warning indicator lamp turns on for 3 seconds.

Within 10 seconds of the safety belt warning indicator turning on, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt.
The beltminder activation or deactivation is confirmed by the following sequences:
If the beltminder is enabled, this procedure will disable the beltminder for that specific seating position. The safety belt warning indicator lamp will flash 4 times per second for 3 seconds to confirm that the deactivation procedure was successful.
If the beltminder is disabled, this procedure will enable the beltminder for the specific seating postion. The safety belt warning indicator lamp will flash 4 times per second for 3 seconds followed by a second series of 4 flashes per second for 3 seconds to confirm that the activation procedure was successful.

After confirmation, the deactivation/activation procedure is complete.

This thread is about the ding ding ding when you have the key in the ignition and you open the door........

This thread is not about the ding ding ding when you are breaking the law.........

So....... Is there a code for this or not..... I've wanted to unsolder me dinger but never put much research into it, cuz when it's nice out i'm too busy, and when i have time to do the research..... I'd rather stay inside where it's warm.

I have no problem with snipping a wire.... but If there is a way to do this by holding your toungue just right and unlocking the door, I would rather do it that way.
