Both key fobs broke off the key ring. What are my options? I'd like to put in an alarm and auto start too.

 

Your alarm will come with a fob. Or buy a new stock one for $10 on eBay

 

I have seen many aftermarket alarms systems that dont sync up well with the Ford PATS system. It seems like they have a limited life once they are installed, start causing no start issues a few years down the road. But again I work at the dealership so I only hear about the faulty ones. Im sure a lot of people run them for the life of the truck without any issues. Just something to think about.

 

Then I'll just go with an alarm. Do you know of any decent alarm systems?

 

My truck has the Viper alarm system and auto start
It picks up the key fob like half a mile away

 

I bought this for less than 10 bucks and it works perfectly. I've had it for 7 months now and no problems

 

I put in a Viper remote start, which came with remote locks.

Its great here in Canada in the snow and cold. Nice to get in a warm truck, but it is also good in the heat, as it is just as nice ti get into a cool truck.
