Don't know what jacked up means???.........
A dealer should be able to tell you....or maybe a good locksmith...You must be talking about just exchanging just the lock cylinder itself right??

A good locksmith should be able to repair the cylinder and match it to your existing key. If your key is shot they should be able to cut you a new key and as long as you keep the old key on the same ring the security system should see it. If you install the tailgate cylinder in the ignition what will you put in the tailgate?

Better to fix the bad cylinder.

I will stick the bad 1 in the tailgate... I don't need a lock on it... the door cylinder is kinda necessary if the truck is locked and the battery dies... I have no way of getting in... :/ the door cylinder is jammed up...

you might be able to change the actual key tumblers from the tailgate.....but I can almost swear you won't be able to put them in your door....too many little springs & tumblers etc for most of us untrained locksmiths...
forget cheap things like wd40.......put some diesel fluid in a spray bottle & spray your door lock with it (key hole)...do it everyday for a week....If you're lucky it might free up & unfreeze your lock ....try your key every day both ways but don't overly force it....just a thought if it don't work go to a pick & pull auto wreakers try your key in just about every ford product.....you might be surprised to find one that works with your key....believe or not I did this once years ago & my key turned quite a few ignitions but not always the door lock...seems they take more care in being the actual key turning it....Good Luck....

you could try it....but the key barrel would absolutely look & work the same......if they look the same you might have to turn over the arm (held by a C clip) @ the end of the barrel....that's how they worked when there was a lock also on the passenger side... I've had good luck with diesel fluid I would still try that....remember you have to give it time to seap in & lubricate.......

I had a locksmith key a new cylinder for me for 10 dollars. Just replace it if you can swing it.
