I think you should trade it for a 2008 F-150.

Um excuse me I fix cars as a part time job and I love it, so I think it's safe to say I know what I'm doing. Do I know everything? hell no. You want to sit there and call me a dumbass, you go right ahead. Not the first time I've been called such. I've been called worse. Why don't you all man the **** up, come over to my house and say **** to my face and see what happens. I'm done with this forum.

Funny how this simple thread turned into a few major issues: oil, car loans, hate,...
So why not put my three cents in.
1. Keep the truck. The repairs don't sound that intensive. Unless you have cash in hand going to a stealership you are going to get boned. Even if you do have cash in hand avoid the dealership. Shop around and you can find some good deals out their on great used vehicles. Autotrader, Cars.com,.. Plenty of websites that make searching very easy.
2. Unless you are a multi-millionare never buy a new vehicle. Why, because you are most likely borrowing money (with an interest rate unless you get 0%) on a depreciating asset. So you are getting it coming and going. People need to learn some fiscal responibility! I could go on and on about this one. But, if you want to buy new by all means please do so. Just my opinion.
3. This oil issue keeps coming up. I am going to start a new thread about this. How about 'Oil Issues'.
