So I've been messing around in the engine bay lately and was cleaning my CAI filter. It's a K&N CAI with standard enclosed end with the metal cap. The truck was designed to receive a lot of the air from the side panel from the bumper. I know a lot of air comes in from below and some from in front but majority from the side air hole. So I am thinking of getting the extreme filter with the end of the filter open with filtration on it so I will receive more air flow from the side panel. Here are some pics. I figured it could only help right?

I have a filter like that but its a k&n knock off called chromeintake.

Oh nice, yes I have been looking at other filters but I have a coupon for K&N so I will be getting that one.
