Default just starting out

Just got my first truck! 2006 F150 XLT 4dr long bed. Im a college student, so my income is minimal. Since I am an avid bodybuilder, I spend most of my money on food. Everything left over goes to my truck. What is the best and most favorite thing you have done to your truck? thanks!

I have an 05 XL which I bought new. First 18 months I had it, I did a lot of modding to add features which came on trucks I couldn't afford. A lot of what I added, your truck already has.

Probably one of the coolest things I have done, which your XLT probably doesn't have, is to add a power tailgate lock which works with my remote locks. I have an Extang cover and the power tailgate lock helps offer a little convenient security for stuff I keep in the bed.

In case any other XL guys view this, here is a list of other stuff modded:

Power windows, locks, mirrors
XLT cluster, seat upholstery, wheels
Audiophile w/sub
Temp and compass auto dimming rear view
Leather wheel w/cruise

Enjoy your new truck!

I suppose any aftermarket muffler would be a great addition and an evolution programmer. But honestly, i'd hold out on any mods until your used to the gas prices we are gonna see.

Hmm...best thing I ever did in college with my truck. Now it wasn't my F-150 back then, it was an 89 Dakota Sport...but I'd say the best thing I ever did to my truck was put the hot chick in the passenger seat who would later become my wife.

So yeah, go find yourself a nice passenger "seat cover".

It was early, I'm usually not cantankerous until 10am or so.
