Default just replaced fuel module and still will not start

Hello, my 2005 F150 recently stalled in the middle of the road and would not turn over or respond from attempting to restart. The engine wouldn't turn over, but all the dash lights came on normally. I took it to an auto mechanic and they wanted $1000 to replace the fuel module! I knew this was a pretty easy job and replaced it myself, however the truck still will not start. The security light on the dash flickers and there is a ticking coming from the engine. Is this a computer issue or something possibly simpler?

The engine won't turn over or it turns over but doesn't start?

Sounds like dead battery more than a fuel issue, flickering PATS and clicking.

The engine will not turn over, but all lights come on when I turn the key. The battery is under a year old.

Don’t matter how old your battery is if the alternator quit charging it.. it will be dead...drained...die. A $1000 dollars to lower your spare tire and remove 2 bolts and a plug ? What were these people smoking?

What would engine turning over (by power of the starter alone) have to do with the fuel system?

Maybe they were trying to charge you to replace the vapor canister too...lol
Definitely sounds battery/alternator related to me..
