Default JBA Headers, JBA midpipe & Magnaflow muffler, size?

I installed some long tube JBA headers and a midpipe. Now I'm going to buy a Magnaflow muffler and take it to the muffler shop to have him do dual out behind the rear tires.

1. Magnaflow makes p/n 12298 & 14298 3" in and dual 3" out. Cant see the differences between these two mufflers?

2. The headers/midpipe is 3" so I'll need 3" going into the muffler but coming out it's either 2.5" or 3". I'm just assuming 3" will be better but just wanna make sure.

Well, bigger isn't always better. But, you have already opened the exhaust so much that it really doesn't matter what you do after the muffler at this point. So, might as well continue the 3" all the way out.
