Default IWE Solenoid?

Occasionally, my hubs don't disengage when I go from 4WH to 2W on the fly. The next time I start the truck, the hubs let go, and all is well. I have a 2007 with the updated solenoid. Do the updated solenoids still go bad? Should I start there?

Sounds like it could be a vacuum leak somewhere. When you disengage, are you letting off the accelerator? Doing so would ensure you're at maximum vacuum and should help.

Last time it got stuck engaged, I was cruising at 30, barely touching the gas. I will see if it does any better while I'm off the gas completely.

I was hoping someone would say the updated solenoids are crap too, and I would have an easy fix ?
