Default Issues with climate control...

I have noticed that the 1st fan speed seems basically non-existant. I can feel a tiny bit of air coming out. Click it up to the 2nd speed, and it feels as though it made a jump 2 or 3 times as high as it should have. I think 2, 3, and 4 are correct in the amount of air they move and 1 is not.

Here is what I know so far:
  • 1st fan speed puts out virtually no air. I can feel it, but barely.
  • Hitting the recirculate button will stop the air on 1 all together.
  • If I come to a stop and am only idling, the air seems to stop moving as well.
  • All other fan speeds seem to behave normally.
  • Same behavior if the A/C button is depressed or not.
Anybody have any ideas?

Removal and Installation

  1. NOTE: The blower motor resistor can be accessed from below the RH side of the instrument panel. Disconnect the blower motor resistor electrical connector.
  2. Remove the 2 blower motor resistor screws.
  3. Remove the blower motor resistor.
  4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
