My son's 2007 4.6L has begun acting strange today. The starter kicks on when it wants too. Also the drivers side window lowered after starting without any door switch activation. After that there was a strong burning electrical smell inside the vehicle. I also heard a ticking sound while the key was turned to start and the starter was not activating. It sounded like a turn signal coming from under the passenger seat or under the vehicle.

Any thoughts on where we should begin looking for a cause?

 

gotta find the burnt wires... got a short somewhere and when you find the burnt wires this will lead you in the right direction.. good luck
