Default Interior Moisture on Windshield

Has anyone experienced any problems with interior moisture, particularly with heavy condensation on the inside of the windshield? I have seen this only about seven or eight times over the last six years and can't pinpoint why. Happens in all seasons and I actually had to scrape ice off the inside windshield twice in cold weather!

When the truck was a year or two old, I noticed the brake pedal arm was rusty and Ford replaced it at n/c but could not explain why. This was my first clue to a moisture problem.

I had a new windshield installed last year due to a chip and thought it may help but I just experienced the problem again the other day. I guess that rules out a leak around the windshield.

I have not had any other problems such as wet carpeting, leaks, musty smell, etc. I am wondering if the vents intermittently remain open to the outside even though the controls are off.

Thanks

Older thread & older model I see but this happened to me today.

First big snowstorm since I got the truck. Set the defroster on high and went about the business of cleaning off the outside windows, etc. Got in 10 minutes later and had streaks on the inside of windshield. Moisture collecting at the top mostly. Old (2001) truck did not do this. I have driven in a couple of good rains and never had a leak.

Anyone else?

Same thing happened to me the other day got in the truck after it snowed about 3 in and seemed like most of the moisture was at the top of the winshield

it is your third brake light seal, get some clear silicone for making gaskets and apply to the seal and also make sure to cover screws with silicone... most likely will solve it if you make a good job.

The water enters thru the roof and rolls to the front by gravity creating moisture at the windshield.
