Hey crash tech...

I've got that same Kenwood HU. I notice you have both a USB and the iPod cable in the glove box. Did I miss something? I think my USB port is what the iPod is connected to? I'm gonna have to check cause I'd love to have both.

Oh and by the way - what are you doing taking pics at 3:04AM??? ;-)
That's the time showing on the clock!

Posttal - I'd like to see that shower caddy thing too - I keep my cupholders full of clutter like pens, flashlight, and stuff. Would love a better organizer. Now if I could only clean out that big console!

Yup. I bought the specific iPod cable and ran the AV back to the headunit but left the usbs in the glove box. I figure that way I can plug in a USB flash drive instead of using the iPod if I want. I have a 500GB hard drive I was going to use but I don't think that will work. It would have been awesome though.

Yeah, I didn't set the time right away on that. It was probably like 2 or 3 pm? I don't remember exactly lol.

if your external hard drive is formatted FAT32 then it will work. Also, if you're trying to wire in for power (like a plug from a wall) read the power converter (big black box on cord) and see if it converts to 12v power. They usually do and you can literally just cut the cord after that box and wire straight onto your truck's power.

For you guys with the Kenwood Nav headunits (or any other head unit with a GPS antenna) I mounted mine on top of the unit and have had no reception problems at all even in a tunnel. It cleans the dash up alot and is only undernear the very slim dash plastic bezel. Just a tip of advice for anyone who doesnt want wires everywhere. Afterall, isnt that the point of an all in one headunit/GPS?

I will look into doing this. I am worried about the satellite reception.

Blown Ford,

With your cluster, how hard was it to get the gages to work?

how much of the windshield is blocked by them?

Works fine. Everything runs down the pillar under the dash and thru the fire wall. The pic is me holdingthe cell phone in front of my face so ur seeing exactly what I see when I'm driving. I loveit.
