Default Intake Size?

Does anyone know what size lip on the throttle body is? I'm planning on building my own cold air intake and need to know so I can order a silicone elbow to attach to it. Also what size is most piping on the cold air kits? The spectre kit on ebay said it was 4"

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm thinking it's 4" as well but I wanted to make sure before I order!

Have you considered doing the Gotts Mod instead of building a whole intake

I have considered it but I'm more into DIY projects and after finding this interesting write up below I'd like to build my own. And I just think the factory intake is big and bulky looking.

One thing to consider from a performance point of view, most so called cold air intakes pull air from the engine compartment hmm no cold air in my engine compartment only hot and with the Gotts Mod you still pull not cold but cooler air in from outside the engine compartment i built my gottts mod with 3 inch pvc a coupling a downspout connector and a couple clamps just my 2 cents good luck on whatever you do I did notice an increase in fuel milage and throttle response

Yeah I've done a lot of reading and researching on this. I plan to pull air from the same place that the gotts mod does as well as from the front of the truck. I haven't had a chance to look at the truck yet to be exactly sure because it has been pouring the rain here. I'll definitely keep everyone updated on the progress though. That is if I can find out what size the throttle body is lol
