Hey guys just wondering what the difference is between the 5.4 and the 4.6 k&n fipk cai? I have a chance to buy a slightly used 5.4 cai but my truck has the 4.6 in it. Would it still work or could I make it work with a little modifying?

 

I dont think it will work. If I was you I would just buy the cai for your 4.6. I would not reccomend trying to modify it to fit your truck

 

What yr is your truck? The 5.4 and 4.6 kits are pretty close. The piece that connects the pipe to the throttle body is different. The MAF housings are different depending on the years. This is what you can do. Go on summitracing.com, look up the kit and click the instructions to see the exploded view of the kit, then do it for the correct kit for your truck.
