Default Installing transfer case shift motor

A wood chuck chewed the wires right off of my transfer case shift motor on my 2005 FX4. I took all of the bolts out and undid the clip for with the wires, but there are still two wires running up above where the drive shaft connects to the transfer case, one looks like a ground, and the other goes straight into the transfer case. How am I supposed to get these wires out? Thanks

Default Ever Figure this out?

I see nobody replied and I have to replace my actuator motor as well. Did you ever figure it out? Any hints would be helpful.

Thanks

You need to remove those two wires from the connector. Take a pick, (90 degree one) and there should be a bright color rectangle that locks the pins into the connector. Use the pick to pry up the rectangle from the opposite side of the connector the wires enter. When you pull it out, you can remove the wires. The new motor comes with a connector, then you put the wires back into the new connector. Should only take you a 10-15 minutes to remove them. Take your time and take note of what position the wires go into the connector. Take a picture...
