So my 04 XLT SCAB 4×4 has a solid rear window, that is something I would really like to change. Now I have absolutely zero experience with window glass, so whether I install it or find somewhere to have it done, beyond the window/gasket/tape/etc what should I be looking for? My truck has a strange connection on the rear wall just hanging out doing nothing, is that possibly for the window motor? Where would it terminate or possible switch location? Anyone done this to their 04-08 could point me to the connection required to get power for the window and figure out if I can use what's there for anything or start running new stuff. It looks like the window is sold in complete kits for $300 and up, how much should it cost to have it professionally installed and recommended any places that do jobs like that, I don't know if Ford would be willing to tackle it . Any and all info is much appreciated as I would like to be up and running by spring!* Thanks!!
