Default injector questions

I have 3 questions about the injectors on an 06 5.4

1) How do you check to see if an injector is bad? do you need to cut off the fuel line for it?

2) How many OHMs are the injectors suppose to be at? I heard you test at 2000 OHMs on an OHM reader, but not sure what number its suppose to be at to be considered a good injector.

3) Did Ford make new injectors for the recall on the 05? because I also saw on another thread that the injectors on the 05 are the same as the 06 (part #'s match)

thanks!

These Proceedures are in the "Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Manual" which is hard to come by unless you know someone within Ford to get your hands on it.

I always visit my mechanic friend at my local dealership. Usually a steak dinner with beer gets me answers from him on this kind of stuff.

The Ford workshop manuals (2 volumes plus wiring diagrams) I have refer to the above mentioned book for testing of these (injectors).

It explains how to properly remove them though...

There's always soft drinks to go along with the steak!

Typically you Ohm out the injectors. They all should be the same or almost the same, if there is a great difference, more than likely, a bad injector.

Good rule of thumb, but it would not tell if an injector was clogged or dripping, rather than spraying a nice fine mist.

im pretty sure that its an injector because my friend who is way more car literate helped me out on it without even realizing it... pretty sure its getting stuck open. car had a problem starting... but was cranking over fine... friend randomly blurted out "oh you probably have too much fuel in your cylinder..." only way i know of fuel gettin in the cylinder is from those injectors... unless im missing something...

and it happens the worst when its cold outside
