I have an 08’ crew cab FX4 and want to add a LED light bar to the front bumper as well as some other lighting. Would like to keep the interior looking stock and not have any bawdy led switches in the dash panel. My plan is to use the OEM information center buttons to trigger a multi channel relay to run the lights. My truck does not have the info center just the blank insert is there I found the info-setup-reset button cluster at a wrecker and snipped the harness as well. Problem being is it seems the buttons control the info center on a varying resistance and the output from the harness are not momentary triggers like I’m looking for to run the relay for the lights. Wondering if anyone has ever rebuilt this cluster for this purpose?
