Default Improving braking?

One of my complaints with the 2008 is how it stops. At times, it gets to be an ***-puckering experience. I had a 2010, and literally with one toe you could gracefully brake in nearly any situation. With the 2008, it feels like you need one solid foot and other times you need to Fred Flinstone it.

I have done pads and rotors. I am on a heavy duty rotor, and Hawk(I think) pads out front. I'd like to avoid slotted rotors as I am not convinced they will really do anything for me. Stock rotors are dual piston, and I have heard there are some triple or quad piston calipers but have not seen them. I am on stock wheels as well.

I've also heard some get excited over stainless brake lines but not sure if they are worth the hype.

Anything else out there that I am not aware to look at?

Edit: What I did on the front: Hawk LTS pads and Raybestos premium rotors

I just put on slotted and cross drilled rotars (stoptech) and ceramic pads and it is much better. Unfortunetly they are a little more pricey but besides the looks of them they do work better. Most upgrade kits ive seen you need a larger rim pkg.

I went with EBC slotted sport rotors and Hawk ceramic up front...better than stock...
