Default Idle speed / RPM adjustment

Looking at getting a tuner for my 08' f150 XLT, scab, 4x4, 5.4
mostly looking at tuners to help the trans with towing. However, Ive read on some threads about people using their tuner (edge evo i believe) to raise the RPM at idle. I cant seem to find what tuner is capable of this. Ive emailed edge and they said it wasn't an option for the 5.4 tuner.
Ive only had my truck about 5 months and it seems like it could benefit from a 2-300 RPM raise to keep things smoother when idling. Ive already done all the tune up stuff to the truck and i believe it runs how its supposed to. Just seems the idle is set low and with 96,000 on the engine it wont be as smooth as day 1.
Can anyone confirm which exact tuner i can get for my 08 f150 5.4 that will let me raise the idle a few hundred rpm. All tuners help out with towing shift points so that one is easy!
Thanks in advance guys.

I've got the SCT X4 and it lets you adjust the idle speed on all 3 preset tunes on it. I've got mine set at 650, and it sounds and feels way healthier than the factory setting. That said, the best option would be to buy this tuner, but also get with either MPT tuning or 5 star tuning, and order a custom tune. They'll email you with a forum so you can fill in what specs you want where (shift pressure, redline etc.) and I would just specify a hot idle of around 625-650.

USRanger - thanks for the info! I agree it seems the engine would be happier with a slightly higher idle.
I was looking info 5 star tuning so i will probably end up going that direction.

An Evo Edge converted to a Power Hungry Performance Gryphon does this on any tune you select, it's a custom setting.

It will have it. You should read up on the various tuners, there's a lot of information in the threads here. It's basic functionality in the custom settings menu that you can apply to all tunes (canned and custom both).

Thank you guys for the replies!
Ive read some threads on tuners but could not find out exactly which tuner offered the idle adjustment. And my email to Edge with them responding that the idle adjustment isnt an option further confused me.
Thanks to you guys i now know to look into gryphon or SCT (from 5 star most likely).

I haven't been able to get a custom tune yet, but if i'm not mistaken, 5 star can leave certain adjustments open on their tunes for the SCT as well. Typically though, I think its best to just go into good detail on how you want it to shift, and idle. Those guys know how to write a good tune, and it shouldn't need much adjustment at all if any.

A regular Edge evolution P/N 15051 for your 5.4 3V will allow you to adjust your idle speed.. I bumped mine to 600 RPM's.. not sure who you talked to at edge.. they are mis-informed.
