Default Idle issue

2005 with 4.6 idles a little rough. Sometimes when I come to a stop it dies. Not all of the, time very random. I have had it scanned twice and nothing. So what the heck could it be?

Have you replaced the fuel pump driver module?

Had that problem too and it ended up being the throttle body. Got it all cleaned out and has been running perfectly since!

Sometimes it will. My FPDM is on its way out but the only code it set cant be read by a standard code reader. It might be a good place to start, since with my rough idle I cleaned the throttle body and it only went away for a little while.

It's pretty easy to check you just need to drop the spare tire and unbolt it from the steel cross member, checking it for corrosion.
