Default I think another FPDM

Hello everyone, so within the past two weeks my truck has been a little weird on start up in the morning, not like it misfireing but just sounded like it is falling on its face. (lack of fuel). Well wanted to check the easiest thing first so had my battery checked by auto zone and came back at 12.7 V and good on the cold cranking amps just today. So I know that everyone on here says the FPDM (should have been a recall by Ford) goes bad because of the different metals. Well I order that part tonight for 60 bucks off amazon. I looked at the FPDM at the start of summer, was definitely corroding, but haven't got to look at it yet. So fingers crossed this will solve my problem. The part will be here September 19. So if anyone else has any ideas there more then welcome.

Yeah! And I got my truck used and it was from New Hampshire so I'm sure the 3 years it was up there didn't help. But I only have 55,000 miles on my truck.

Most likely your problem....NH sucks just as much as MA and PA with the salt and CaCl solution they use. It is easy to check although if it crumbles in your hand when you go to take it off and dont have a replacement on hand, you would be pretty screwed. haha.

Nice...I painted the back silver metal part of it with a primer to be extra cautious...not necessary but I figured a little more protection wont hurt. Good life lesson right there...haha.

Every one of these will fail no matter what the conditions or climate. It's only a matter of time.

Yeah but these new style ones are better since they are built to sit off of the metal frame.
