Hey guys I have to replace my rear end. I cant fond a 05 Donner but I found one out of a 08. Same gear ratio.. can I use it?

Yeah. As long as it's all the same specs.
Be 125% sure it's the same ratio as your front

will do... thanks for the info.. my gear code is B6. 3.73.. I am assuming it is the 9.75 ring gear

Look at the shape of the rear covers. The 8.8 and 9.75 are noticeably different. The axle code gives you gear ratio and LS (or not). It does not determine which axle housing though. A B6 is a 3.73 LS, but it could be either an 8.8 or 9.75.
